At the CPLC Community Center in Phoenix, we engage youth of all ages with tutoring; homework help; hands-on STEM activities; sports and recreation; nutrition and health education; arts and culture activities; and character development. Teen participants gain leadership experience by leading self-directed service projects that demonstrate how their actions—positive or negative—can have lasting impact on their communities.
The Central Park Rec Center is a City of Phoenix youth recreation center located at Central Park in Phoenix. A partnership with Grant Park and the Youth Barrio Project, the center provides youth and adult sports programming and community resources. Services include: After-School Programs, Youth & Adult Sports Programs, Family Assistance Services & Referrals, Community Resources & Food Boxes.

Inspired by our sister program in Tucson, The Nahui Ollin Wellness Program uses the premise of, "La Cultura Cura" or The Culture Heals. The program fosters youth engagement for leadership development and positive self-identity. We believe our communities can strive for holistic healing and wellness through a youth-led and community supported approach.

A workshop series for self-identified men, A Call to Men’s Healthy Masculinity training provides in-depth training and education to help create meaningful impact and ally-ship practice in men's lives. Led by identified male staff, this program is another component of the Amanecer Prevention and Wellness Program.
Age Requirement: Youth ages 12-19 years old
CPLC's Adult Education services provide access to quality educational opportunities to support employment, job training, and transitioning to post-secondary education. Adult learners will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully function at work, community, and society.
Services include Adult Basic Education, Adult Secondary Education (GED), English as a Second Language (ESL), Computer Skills, and linkage to other CPLC Workforce Development services that connect adults to high-quality careers with opportunities for growth.

The CPLC Community Center is home to a nationally recognized Food Justice initiative, honored by No Kid Hungry through its From Fear to Trust grant for its impact in vulnerable communities. This initiative breaks down barriers to food access by offering culturally relevant, nutrient-dense foods, hands-on nutrition workshops, and expanded SNAP outreach and education. Grounded in dignity and empowerment, it has become a vital resource for families facing food insecurity and rising grocery costs.

Chicanos Por La Causa provides vulnerable communities with emergency hardship services and referrals. Under the Terri Cruz Family Assistance Program, these emergency services include APS and SRP utility assistance, funeral assistance, food box referrals, SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) eligibility assistance and AHCCCS (Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System) referrals, as well as pandemic COVID-19- related resources.
These services are contingent upon funding availability, income verification, and COVID-19 qualifying factors as applicable by state, federal, and grant requirements.
