César Chávez Stay in School Celebration

More than 10 years ago, CPLC partnered with the César Chávez Educational Institute to educate students of César Chávez’s core values. Today, this event has grown to teach Chávez’s core values through motivational workshops, art & essay contests and education on the importance of living and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. CPLC partners with the Roosevelt and Isaac School Districts and invites nearly 500 students to partake in the learning experience. The celebration also includes entertainment, food & refreshments, interactive games and fun giveaways from our participating sponsors. The winners of the art contests are announced during the opening ceremony and prizes are distributed accordingly.
