Elderly Programs and Services
The Elderly Services and Programs at CPLC are primarily located in the center at the Casa de Primavera Senior Housing Community. The program is focused on the nutritional needs of the elderly. This focus consists of congregate meals as well as a meal on wheels program (MOW). The center is open daily from 8am to 2pm. There are also special events that occur at the center such as the annual Thanksgiving Celebration. The center is very much focused on developing services for the elderly sector of the community to offer more activities and opportunities that will lead to longer and healthier lives.
Occupants of the various senior residences will be privy to an array of supportive services designed to address their varying needs. Many of the services will be offered through CPLC’s extensive internal network system, others will be accessible through CPLC’s broad community network system.
Case Management Services – A Service Coordinator will directly address the needs of the residents and promote active communication between residents, social workers, health care workers, family members, and the management team.
Meals on Wheels – Residents unable to prepare meals for themselves or leave their apartment to participate in daily congregate meals will be registered to receive hot nutritious home delivered meals. The meals will be prepared and delivered by CPLC’s Elderly Center, which is located adjacent to Casa de Primavera.
Congregate meals – Residents unable to prepare meals for themselves or who prefer to eat in the company of others can participate in CPLC’s congregate meal program and join other residents and community senior adults in the Casa de Primavera dining room for a hot nutritious meal.
Social and Recreation Program – Residents seeking social and recreation activities can participate in CPLC’s Senior Center Social and Recreation Program housed at Casa de Primavera. Seniors can enjoy a variety of arts and crafts, bingo games, birthday parties, holiday celebrations, exercise programs, and other social and recreation activities.
Senior Adult/Disabled Case Management Program – This program is designed to provide senior adults with social services counseling, and access to services vital to their wellbeing. The program is comprised of client assessments, development of client program plans, assistance with accessing required resources, and follow-up services to ensure the welfare of clients. These services are offered through CPLC’s Senior Adult Case Management Program housed at CPLC’s corporate facilities.
