Housing Counseling
Certified by Housing and Urban Development (HUD), as a comprehensive housing counseling agency, CPLC has over thirty (30) years of experience in developing affordable housing, both in urban and rural communities. This knowledge supports our persevering interest and efforts in building affordable housing for low to moderate income families and providing the necessary housing counseling services that are designed to help individuals and families acquire and or maintain quality and affordable housing.
CPLC offers comprehensive-counseling services to low to moderate income residents faced with homelessness, near homelessness, mortgage default, rental evictions, and/or substandard housing. Included in these services are case management, arranging repayment plans with creditors, utility assistance, and advocacy for the socially and economically disadvantaged.
CPLC’s Housing Counselors provide much-needed services thus allowing the organization to address the demand for this type of critical assistance. The Counselors evaluate the severity of the family’s situation and assist them in meeting immediate or emergency needs. On an annual basis, CPLC’s housing counselors will assist approximately 3000+ clients.
