Thomas Espinoza ASU/CPLC Scholarship Program

The scholarships provide a tuition waiver to students who are committed to helping others, attend Arizona State University tuition free.   CPLC and its partnering sponsors are dedicated to empowering future community leaders who are interested in developing innovative strategies to improve neighborhood conditions.

Corazon de Aztlan

Participants are encouraged to engage in a creative competitive scholarship process.   Corazón alumni are asked to create an entry that would express how the retreat affected them, with a focus on any particular part, or the entirety, of the retreat experience.   Five (5) one thousand dollar ($1,000) scholarships are awarded to five (5) students for their creative and profound entries.

Querer es Poder

An eighth grade scholarship program.   Participating students from middle schools nominate fellow students based on their improvement in the areas of attendance and academics.   Students are then required to submit a written essay on a selected topic. Upon a completed evaluation by a panel of community leaders, seven (7) winners receive a one thousand dollar ($1,000) college scholarship, which is kept in a Pima Community College Endowment Fund until high school graduation.

U of A/CPLC Scholarship Program

The scholarships provide five thousand dollars ($5000) to four (4) Hispanic students who are attending UofA's Medical School.
