Arizona Tax Credits
Currently, Arizona taxpayers are eligible to receive credit for their charitable donations to CPLC through two programs. You DO NOT need to itemize your tax return to receive these credits!
These are not just another tax deduction—they are tax credits that reduce the amount you owe to the state, dollar for dollar. We encourage you to learn about these credits, discuss them with your family, and tell your friends.
- Arizona Public Schools Tax Credits
CPLC has two charter schools in Pima County. While each school has a different focus, both have the same objective: to advance educational goals, increase educational achievement and graduation rates, develop leadership, promote civic participation, and increase college entrance and graduation for Tucson youth. You can claim up to $200 for an individual or $400 if married and filing jointly.
- Arizona Charitable Contributions (Working Poor) Tax Credit
The Contributions to a Qualifying Charitable Organization tax credit was established by the Arizona state legislature to provide services such as medical care, child care, food, clothing, shelter and basic needs for employed families struggling to make ends meet. You can claim up to $200 for an individual or $400 if married and filing jointly.
MAIL-IN DONATIONS MUST BE POSTMARKED BY DECEMBER 31 OR MADE ONLINE BY DECEMBER 31 TO RECEIVE THE TAX CREDIT FOR THE CURRENT YEAR.
