Promesa

PROMESA LLC, a subsidiary of Chicanos Por La Causa (CPLC) Inc., provides innovative bilingual education within the State of Arizona, with particular emphasis in the Latino community. The DUI education class is available for the offender who is required to complete a 16-hour program. PROMESA also offers a similar 12-hour course for adolescents and young adults who are charged with underage drinking and are mandated by the court to take a Minor Consumption education course.

PROMESA is a licensed provider that conducts alcohol and drug screening intakes, which evaluates substance abuse issues, as well as other risk factors such as a person’s aggressiveness, coping skills, anger management, etc. PROMESA will soon be offering additional bilingual educational classes for domestic violence, specifically targeting the offender, as well as for those who commit animal cruelty in an effort to promote community enrichment.

The PROMESA curriculum is structured to provide lessons in a culturally competent and respectful manner, by professionals specifically trained to work with diverse groups within the community. The curriculum is delivered in a culturally sensitive, thought provoking manner that will ultimately stimulate critical thinking and discussion within the participant groups. The educators are mandated to create an atmosphere of respect, dignity, safety and most importantly, responsibility.

In keeping with the mission of CPLC, PROMESA strives to provide its clients with the desire and ability to make long-term positive life choices. English and Spanish classes are offered at various locations throughout the valley and are usually held on the weekends, but special accommodations can be made for weekdays. The benefit for choosing PROMESA is not only for the customized service given to clients, but also for the professionalism and prompt service delivered to court personnel and other stakeholders within the community.
