Edmundo Hidalgo – President/Chief Executive Officer
Edmundo Hidalgo serves as President and CEO of Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC). Prior to being appointed President and CEO, Edmundo had served as the agency's Chief Operations Officer since 1999.
CPLC is a statewide community development corporation with more than 40 years of experience serving communities in the areas of Education, Economic Development, Housing and Health and Human Services. Edmundo's dynamic leadership has led to double-digit growth in each of the past five years and has catapulted the organization into a highly visible advocate for social and economic development, particularly in low-income Latino communities.
Edmundo is an active member of several boards and commissions. He is the Chair of the Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation, the Treasurer of Sonoran Bank and a Board member the CHASE Community Advisory Committee, the Dudley Ventures Advisory Board, the Diamond Back Diversity Council, the Greystone CDE, and the NMTC Coalition Advisory Board. He recently joined the Advisory Board of the Institute for Affordable Housing Policy of the Furman Center for Real Estate & Urban Policy at New York University School of Law. He was honored as a 2008 Piper Fellow of the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust and a 2005 Minority Small Business Champion of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration's Arizona District Office.
Edmundo grew up in the southern Arizona town of San Luis. He earned his B.A. in Economics in 1988 and received his MBA from Arizona State University in 2000. He has been married for 24 years to his wife Rosanna and has two sons, Jonathan and Matthew.

Arjelia "Argie" Gomez - Chief Economic Development Officer
Arjelia "Argie" Gomez is Chief Economic Development Officer of Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. As CPLC's CEDO, Argie is responsible for the strategic operational leadership of CPLC's statewide services. In addition to driving innovation and effective business practice, she oversees corporate operations, internal operations and key relations to drive system-wide quality and results. Prior to her appointment as CEDO, she served as Chief Operating Officer for CPLC and before that as Vice President of Statewide Behavioral Health Services for the same organization.
In her role as CEDO, Ms. Gomez is responsible for managing the Economic Development arm of the organization. This includes the multifamily communities and single family housing development, commercial and retail development, construction, small business and commercial lending, resource development, and joint venture partnerships. Argie oversees CPLC Southern Nevada Manager and has oversight of the small business lending, development and housing programs currently underway in that state. The subsidiary business offers financial support to the mission based operations of the non-profit programs/business operations. The cross-functional work required to sustain the community impact and strategic value in the economic business ventures is done in partnership with all four Chief Officers.
Argie began her career as a probation officer with the Pinal County Juvenile Court. She progressed to the Foster Care Review Board and then worked as Program Manager and later Director of Juvenile Justice Services Division with the Arizona Supreme Court. Following that, she served as Legislative Liaison, Public Information Officer and Chief of Community Services for the Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections. Her work continued as the Chief Operating Officer of Southwest Key Program, with their corporate office in Austin, Texas. Under this position, she implemented new program operations around the country and in Puerto Rico, from proposal writing, contract negotiation to start-up.
For more than 30 years, Argie has successfully led community development initiatives in the government and judicial sectors, child welfare, legislative action committees, the Arizona Regional Behavioral Health Authority and Tribal Regional Behavioral Health Authority. She is committed to sustained economic growth and effective service provision for underserved communities. Argie holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Northern Arizona University, Public Relations and Leadership training from the University of Texas in Austin and an MBA from Grand Canyon University Ken Blanchard College of Business.
Argie was born in Superior, Arizona. She has been happily married to husband Robert for 11 years. She has three bonus children: Robbie, Miki and Rachel and four bonus grandkids. She enjoys softball, baseball, reading and relaxing with friends. Argie's mother, Amparo, has served as a symbol of strength throughout the years and a role model in servant leadership to strengthen communities.

David Adame - Chief Financial Officer
David Adame serves as Chief Financial Officer of Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. His responsibilities are to oversee the organization's finance department, information technology, quality assurance and corporate compliance, as well as the community stabilization program at the national level. Formerly, Adame served as Chief Development Officer for CPLC. He has more than 20 years of operational management experience in both for-profit and non-profit environments.
Prior to joining CPLC, Adame served as Vice President of Arizona Operations for McCormack Baron & Salazar. Adame was responsible for overseeing the firm’s role in Henson Village, a HOPE VI project located in Phoenix, Arizona that is funded in part by a $35 million grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. This 611-unit mixed-income/mixed-financed residential development has a total development cost of $115 million.
Prior to joining McCormack Baron & Salazar in 2003, Adame was the Senior Deputy Director of Fannie Mae’s Arizona Partnership Office. Working in tandem with the Director, Adame was responsible for implementing "HouseArizona," a five-year, $15 billion investment plan to finance affordable housing throughout the state.
David also spent three years as Program Officer with the Phoenix Office of the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), where he managed the HOMESTART program, a for-sale affordable housing development project. He also worked for Bank One Arizona for eight years, managing and underwriting residential and commercial loans.
Adame is chairman of the Arizona Housing Commission, a position appointed by the Governor of Arizona. He holds a B.S. in Business from Arizona State University (ASU) and an MBA from the ASU School of Global Management.

Martin Quintana - Chief Operating Officer
Martin Quintana is Chief Operating Officer of Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. He is responsible for the strategic operational leadership of CPLC's statewide services. His daily responsibilities include overseeing the behavioral health components, educational programs, charter schools, elderly services, men's residential substance abuse program, the women's domestic violence shelter program, as well as Human Resources and Strategic Communications. Prior to his appointment as COO, he served as Chief Financial Officer. Martin has more than 20 years of financial and operational management experience in both for-profit and non-profit environments. Prior to joining CPLC in 1998, Martin was Finance Manager for Kraft/Alliant Foods in Dallas, Texas and Phoenix, Arizona.
While completing his undergraduate studies, Martin was president of the Arizona State University Hispanic Business Students Association and is a past president and current member of the Hispanic Business Alumni of ASU. He also served as a member of the Finance Committee for the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors. Martin also served as a volunteer panelist for Enlace, a program at ASU promoting higher education in the Hispanic community.
Martin is currently a member of the Advisory Board for the W.P. Carey Executive MBA Alumni program as well as a member of the Board of Directors of the ASU Alumni Association. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of NPower Arizona, where he served as the Board Chair in 2006/2007. Martin was honored as a 2010 Piper Fellow of the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust. He also participates on the Board of Directors for Protecting Arizona Families Coalition and Parenting Arizona. He holds a B.S. in Business & a W.P. Carey MBA from Arizona State University.
Martin was born in San Luis, Sonora, Mexico and has lived in Arizona for more than 30 years. He enjoys all types of activities such as golfing, biking and working out. He is an avid sports enthusiast as a spectator and participant, and he coaches basketball and baseball as a volunteer. He is the proud father of three sons, Vince, Alex and Jacob.
